SPECIALITIES

Our treatment staff are selected based on their ability and experience in treating patients with both drug addictions and mental health problems.

According to the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) almost 50% of people with addictions also have mental health problems including depression, bipolar, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders. That combination is what the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) calls Co-occurring disorders.

The Pelt Clinic (TPC) specializes in helping patients with these co-occurring disorders. We are a Co-occurring Capable program, that means we can treat patients with severe drug addictions and less intensive mental health problems.

Patients with more severe mental health problems such as psychotic symptoms (hallucinations & delusions) and severe bipolar mood swings are better suited for treatment in a program that is Co-Occurring Enhanced with the focus primarily on mental health treatment.

The Pelt Clinic (TPC) uses Evidence Based Treatments such as Motivational Interviewing and Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT) including Buprenorphine (suboxone) and Naltrexone (vivitrol).
